You can deposit checks on the same day that they are scanned to your virtual mailbox. You do not have to pay for forwarding or wait for re-delivery.
Here is What You Need to Deposit Checks
First you need access to a printer. Color ink is preferred, but black and white works in most cases. Second, you need a phone or other device with mobile banking app that allows mobile deposit. Mobile deposit has been widely available for years and allows you to deposit checks by taking a picture with your phone or other mobile device.

Depositing Virtual – Step-by-Step
- Request a scan in the ATMB app. We will send a clear scan of the front and back.
- In your mail app, click on the scanned images of the check, front and back, and save the images to your device.
- Print the saved images on white printer paper. Color ink is preferred, but black and white should work, too. Print them as ‘actual size’ and do not ‘scale to page’.
- Endorse the printed image of the back of the check as you normally would with your stamp or signature.
- Mobile deposit from the images as you would any other check with your banking app. That’s it!

Next Steps
Once you finish your mobile deposit, be sure it clears your bank the following day. If all goes well, you have 2 choices. You can request that we shred the original check, or you can choose to have it forwarded to your location so you can retain the original. The scanned image that you saved on your device is a legal copy of the check. It merely a matter of choice if you want the original once it is cleared.
Can this be paperless?
I suppose it is possible, but I haven’t found a way that works yet. Most mobile banking apps require you to take a picture with your device to make a deposit. Most online bank apps do not allow you to upload a picture. Printing the image is the best way and it allows you to endorse it by hand.

If you do not have access to printing or a mobile banking app, you can request that we forward the check to your location in the ATMB app.
You can also securely send us your banking information for us to keep on file. If you get a check, you can request that we deposit it for you. We will mail the check with your deposit information to your bank. We can hand-deliver deposits to banks with a branch in Washington County, Arkansas.
